Improve dance floor in Booty Bay

Dance parties have become an integral part of life on the N'Zoth server—you could even call them the calling card of OctoWoW.
Over the past few months, a dedicated following has formed around each DJ; these fans aren't just there to enjoy the music—they actively strive to spread joy to everyone around them. Their enthusiastic participation enhances the festive atmosphere created by the DJs. This is further bolstered by in-game items like picnic baskets, campfires, fireworks, glowing beverages, musical pipes, lanterns, and various other toys.
Currently, the developers have set up a dedicated dance floor in Booty Bay. It’s a fantastic space that frequently hosts DJ-led parties, and players really enjoy spending time there. However, there are very few interactive objects—essentially just a single beer keg, which provides only a negligible "intoxication" effect.
To expand the functionality of this dance floor, I suggest adding specific interactive spots for dancers. For instance, these could take the form of the kind of dance cages found in nightclubs: interacting with one would trigger a gear icon, allowing the player's character to open the cage and step inside.

Another option would be to add dance platforms in the shape of floating discs (similar to models used in "The Eye of Eternity" raid from the *Wrath of the Lich King* expansion).

These could be static, though having them move along a pre-set path would really elevate the party atmosphere.
We wouldn't need many—just two would be plenty. I think it would look absolutely awesome. A good friend of mine suggested that we could add a party supply vendor near the dance floor—or perhaps somewhere in Booty Bay—where players could purchase most of the items needed for a celebration. Right now, you have to travel all across Azeroth just to gather party supplies!
Another addition that would help liven up these events is a dance pole—something players could click on to start dancing, similar to the one used during the Mid Summer Fire Festival.

I believe this would make the parties even more enjoyable for dedicated fans and help attract new players as well. I’m hopeful that, with enough player engagement, we might eventually see a full-fledged festival zone, much like the one we had during the final weeks of Turtle WoW.
What do you think about this? Please share your thoughts!

Would be amazing!
It would also be lovely to have something like D.I.S.C.O. ball from WotLK 🕺

Great idea, Pristitute; I’m absolutely bursting with ideas and will share them here this weekend. Round’s idea is also fantastic.

I would also love to see many of the features from the Thunder Ale Brewing Co. guild house —for instance, a wagon staffed by NPCs selling various drinks and fireworks (which could be used in nearby launchers). I’d like to see tables covered in tankards, along with chairs you can actually sit on. Also, lounge chairs, beach umbrellas, more strings of lights, and those perpetual beams of light.

Regarding the recurring topic of PvP—I know this might be a bit of a stretch, but if the event space were located in a remote area (like the guild house shown), perhaps it would be worth considering a "sanctuary" zone (similar to those in Dalaran or Shattrath).

Anything that can enhance the immersion even more during parties would be amazing. You all know I have too much fun entertaining you, so I'm all for more options in-game!
Again, thanks to everyone who tunes in regularly, you mean a lot <3

So, I'll just start. My basic thought is that there is so much potential for OctoWoW and the community in the radio parties that should be tapped into, so everyone can have fun and participate in the parties as regularly as possible. Think big, but don't overload it—keep it great but simple.

Over the last few days, I exchanged some ideas on Discord with my priest friend Priestitute. Simple items like holding a lantern for Halloween or the moonshine glow were great ideas. It just depends on creativity and what people make of what is available.

1. Questlines and dailies (repeatable quests) would be great.
2. Dance instructors distributed at various locations/bars in the game world for new cross-racial dances. These could then be learned or earned through quests. I don't want to mention exactly how I imagine these questlines here, because if any of my ideas were to be implemented, it would be a shame if they were already publicly visible here beforehand.
3. Along with the new dances, there should be gimmicks or rewards like toys, so you can spontaneously unpack your mobile pole dance pole out in the world and start dancing.
4. A pole dance platform for the events, just like the regularly requested dance floors.
5. Someone already mentioned in this thread that there is a demand for this before I edited this post. I had the idea that I would love to see NPCs or toys at the parties that the GMs could spawn as vendors for party supplies: alcoholic drinks, fireworks, perfume, snacks, candies, new recipes, clothing, etc. I think this might be one of the easiest things to integrate into OctoWoW, since many animal or NPC models already exist and would essentially just need to function like the mobile auction houses, bank donkeys, etc.
6. Reputation, honor, or titles as rewards. Basically, things that motivate people to drop by the party.
7. The possibility to set up rocket launchers for fireworks—for example, on a mobile cart or something similar (get creative)—so we can launch our firework clusters and the GMs or DJs can spawn them at the parties.
8. Funny and ambiguous things, like a rose vendor NPC standing or walking around offering roses. Think of things you know from nightlife that could be well-integrated here.
9. New outfits as a desirable goal. A Disco Stu outfit, etc.—you name it...
10. Generally, ideas that give the DJs more options without overwhelming them would be great, since they are already busy with so much multitasking.

11. Items for the donation shop: outfits, bags for party supplies, glasses... get creative and come up with something so that it's also worthwhile for the Octo team.
Then, a system that works similarly to the quest in Tanaris where you get the little shark, where you have to type something in the chat to complete the quest. I think it would be nice to have something like that with the DJs. For example, anyone who dances with the DJ or sends a specific emote gets their wristband or attendance stamp through a repeatable quest.

I bet if we all gather our ideas a bit, some great things will come out of it. It would be amazing if we could work together with the Octo team to upgrade the parties and their possibilities in time for, say, the big New Year's party or whatever party happens around that date. That would be a nice goal. As for whether PvE fights are needed at a party, I don't really see it, but if the majority wants it, fine by me—there could be an area or a ring where people can compete like in show boxing at a carnival. We could also just run a poll on Discord to see what people want.

A lot of this can't be created or implemented overnight, but it doesn't have to be. It would just be nice to see the Booty Bay Radio Parties and the topic of dances and parties expanded step by step. As mentioned at the beginning, there is so much potential here, and many players love these events. Most people know themselves how blown away they were back then when they were surprised by a party while questing.I can't go into too much detail here yet, because if any of these ideas were to be picked up, the element of surprise would be lost. One last thing: please be forgiving of any mistakes in this text, and that also applies to the in-game or Discord chat. English is not my native language, and I am using a translator. See you in Azeroth or at the next party—you will definitely meet Wetpriestess there!
