Suggestion: Reward the First Server-Wide BWL Clear

[Werop2]

Dear Octo Team,

I would like to suggest for our GMs to consider rewarding everyone who was part of the first Blackwing Lair (BWL) clear on each server with a unique shirt, similar to the one awarded for the first Onyxia kill.

So far, first clears of Molten Core, Onyxia, and even Zul'Gurub have been recognized with titles, and the first Onyxia kill even received a special shirt. These rewards are a great way to recognize players who achieve important milestones on the server.

However, BWL is a different level of challenge. It is the first major step up in raid difficulty compared to the previous raids, requiring significantly more preparation, coordination, execution, and teamwork. Getting the first clear on the server is a real achievement and deserves recognition on at least the same level.

My suggestion would be to reward all players who participated in the first BWL clear with a special Shirt (or even Tabard) featuring mini-stats, for example +1 Fire Resistance/+1 Shadow Resistance, similar to the shirt awarded for the first Onyxia kill.

This would be a nice way to commemorate the achievement, reward the players who made it possible, and give the first BWL clear its own place in Octo's history. It would also be a meaningful collectible without necessarily having a major impact on game balance.

I think it would be fair to recognize this milestone, especially considering the increased difficulty compared to the earlier raids and the effort required to be the first guild or raid group to overcome it.

Thank you for your time and for considering the suggestion!

Best regards,
Werop

ps: I was not 100% sure where exactly to make this suggestion in the forums, but since the release of BWL is an important event in itself, I thought this section to be fitting <3

Yes that would be an adequate reward

Good idea!
It makes sense for sure, the preparation is always huge for the server first tries.

100% agree.

In Twow BWL server firsts awarded a t-shirt. It's called Blackrock's Lord Shirt.
Hell, it's even in the octowow game files. https://octowow.st/db/?item=51857
