One of the things that initially attracted me to TWoW was the tents. It was a GREAT idea.

It made people gather and socialize, and it made the rested xp feel more significant. It made leveling more fun. Rested XP actually meant something! Now it has no meaning - you might as well just make leveling faster across the board and remove rested xp completely (which is boring and retail-ish).

Tents were a signature feature, one of the things that defined Twow and made it stand out. It was such a great idea that another MMO run by a bunch of corporate bitches has now blatantly stolen the idea and messed it up .

Steal this idea back and show them how it's done!

Tents being dropped and people having the opportunity to socialize and strengthen community while also getting an xp boost was a lot of fun on twow. I'd love to see it again.

Tents didn't disappear technically. They are called inns now. Inns serve exactly same purpose as tents did in the past: they give rested XP and give people a chance to socialize.

I'll be honest, I wasn't the biggest fan of the Tent nerf because of the OPs reasons. But over time I've started to also appreciate that a lot of Inns now actually feel like Inns. It's also a lot more natural to see a bunch of people sitting in an Inn rather than crowded around a small tent.

But that said, I don't really see people talking while getting rested XP in Inns like they did under Tents. I've thought it was a bit odd tbh. It's like when we're all under Tents we all know that we're there for the exact same reason. With an Inn, people could be in there for other reasons as well, setting a hearth, buying some food and water, many Inns have quest givers. It's almost like knowing that everyone is there for the exact same reason as you encourages people to be a bit more social? Who knows, it could just be anecdotal on my end.

It's true, I don't see much conversation in the inns either. But I think it's because the rested XP was changed. I think rested XP now feels to be lasting much longer than in the past, you no longer need to visit it once every 1.5 or 2 levels. I don't know how but I never run out of rested XP on my main on way to lv 60. It's just fills too fast in my opinion.

IMO rested XP should be nerfed. Also PVP xp. I leveld to 60 so fast I was wishing for it to stop because I haven't had a change to experience more world leveling. I literally gained 25% of a level by doing a single WSG.

If its the Lions Pride in Goldshire, they're definitely there for other reasons
